Bad News

I don't know a lot of details at this point, but Juan was in an auto accident yesterday. I'm not even sure what time it happened, but Parisa called my parents late last night to let them know. I don't know if he was walking or if he was in a car when it happened. He broke his arm and they had to perform surgery on him. They are performing a second operation on him today.

My mom told me that other than the broken arm and some minor trauma to the head, he's doing okay. They expect he should be released from the hospital in about a week. More than likely, he won't be coming to the States for Thanksgiving, so I don't think the reunion is going to happen. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, and I will keep everyone updated on his condition.

To Johnny: man, I'm really sorry to hear you had a "shit, shit" moment. It really sucks that you broke your arm and are in the hospital. However, we are all happy you are going to come out of this ok, and you know we got your back. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers, and get better soon fool. Thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. & Mrs. C as well since I'm sure this is not easy for them. Yguy too.

Does anyone know if he was driving or if he was struck by a car as a pedestrian?

I spoke with Parisa and my dad. The second surgery went well. They are going to keep him sedated tonight and will wake him up tomorrow morning. I think they've been keeping him on a ventilator to help with his breathing. Hopefully by the time we all wake up tomorrow morning, he'll already be up, awake, and talking with my mom. She got on a plane this afternoon and will probably stay in London with him and Parisa for a couple of weeks. I'll update you guys again tomorrow.

I spoke with my dad this morning, and he said that Juan is doing much better now. He's breathing on his own and is no longer being sedated. He is coherent and has been talking with our mom, Parisa, and Parisa's parents. They have him on pain killers and he's still groggy, but he's doing much better now.
