I wanted to share with you guys that after waiting for over 1 year, I am finally closing on my house in Ft. Lauderdale. Some of you may know that shortly after our wedding, Thania and I moved in with my older sister in Doral (west Miami-Dade County). This was meant to be a temporary measure until our house was completed. Since we believed the B.S. we heard from the builder, we figured we'd be in Doral for 1-2 months. However, the builder missed its mark by one year exactly since we were supposed to close in March 2005. Living at someone else's home for one year is something nobody should experience. No matter how nice you are, or how clean you are, there are always time when you're just in the way. That's how it has been for us all this time - not to mention that I commute about 100 miles a day. Now that is all about to end. We are scheduled to close Monday, March 20. I am moving in that same day with my air mattress. Thania will follow with the bed later in the week. Nonetheless, I am very excited and wanted to share this news with my friends. Now when y'all come down, I expect a stop-over at my pad for a drink.
Later,
J

Love,She-She
Congrats mang! I think you guys will love the place and appreciate it that much more, since you've waited so long. I'm really happy for you guys and look forward to visiting you there soon.
Well, we didn't close on March 20 as promised. Now we're looking to close by Wednesday the 22nd due to a bank error. They misplaced the Certificate of Occupancy and never bothered to request a duplicate from the title agency. They emailed me this information on Friday afternoon when nothing could be done. They finally got their act together today, but I'm still not totally confident in their abilities. This is a huge headache. I hope Jose Cuervo can help.
My friend Jack Daniels can be an asset in situations like these.
